HOW DOES PSYCHOTHERAPY HELP?
Psychotherapy, which is also referred to as counseling or "talk" therapy is very beneficial in
reducing emotional pain and suffering. Everyone in life experiences
stressful life events that
may seem overwhelming.  Professional counseling can help you recover from emotional
pain and cope more effectively with stressful life circumstances.  You do
not need to suffer
alone.

APPROACH TO PSYCHOTHERAPY
I am supportive and caring.  It is important to me that you feel comfortable during the
counseling session. I always ask for feedback about how you are doing with the counseling
process.

I am open and willing to discuss all aspects of your emotional problems.  I try to  provide
direct, clear feedback to any of your questions about your condition and the counseling
process. I think the more you know about yourself and the therapy process, the faster you
will  heal.

I trust the therapeutic process and focus on whatever you wish to discuss during the
session.  I believe that my clients should be in charge of the intensity and pace of therapy.

I am flexible. I will discuss your treatment options and choices available to meet your goals.
I will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of available treatment options for your
condition.

I am sensitive and non-judgmental.  I feel comfortable talking with a wide range of people
